Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
-
How do I change the property picture to my own picture or logo? Go to the directory C:\Lettuce InnKeeper\PropertyPhoto and save
your photo or logo there. It needs to be jpg, and its name must be "PropertyPhoto.jpg". Lettuce InnKeeper will look there for it.
-
How do I un-cancel a reservation? Find the reservation and open it, In the Reservations Menu, select
Change Status then click Undo Cancellation.
-
How do I find a cancelled reservation? There are
3 ways: a.)
If you know the guests name or the reservation number, use the Search menu. Once
you find the name in the search, select and double click on it to open the
guest: find "All Reservations of This Guest" in the Guest History
box. Select & double click the reservation you want to open. or b.)
Use the Lists button to search reservations by arrival date. If
desired, select additional parameters
"Current Status" with value "cancelled", and click "Go". The list can be sorted by clicking on the header of the
column you want to sort by. Once you have found what you are looking for, select it and double click to open it.
or c.) Use the Reports menu under Reservation Reports to print out cancelled reservations either by arrival date range, or by cancelled date range. Once you know
the reservation number, use the Search Menu to open it.

What is the default user name and password? User Name: "Lettuce" Password: "Lettuce". When you set first set-up, you should
make your own. Open the Admin section from the menu, click on the last tab to Manage Logins.
Make sure you can log in to the admin section with your password before deleting
the default password (Lettuce/Lettuce). Dont give
stupid or malicious people the admin password.

What do I do with an unpaid balance so I can check out a room? The
best thing to do is
open the groups menu and make a master/house account by giving it a group name,
group contact (pick the guest) and click the box that says 'create master
account'. Set the check-out date for when you think the acccount will be
settled - you can always change this later. When you save, it will make
the account and you will see it in the list at the bottom right of the screen.
You can double click on it to look at the account - it looks just like a
reservation, except without a room charge. Check it in, then go to the
unpaid account and transfer the balance to the new house account you just made.
You can hold
it there until it is settled. Once the room has a zero balance you can check it out, and once you've delt with the balance,
check out the Master account. Another option is to transfer the balance to
your Sundry Sales account. The account wont clear itself if it doesnt
have a zero balance.

Why won't the night audit run? One of the jobs of the night audit is to make sure that
all reservations scheduled to check in or out have been checked in or out before moving to the next day. If there is
a Master Account with the current day as arrival or departure, you wont see it on the grid, but you will still
need to check it in or out, just like any other reservation. This way if an account is overdue, you will be alerted so
you can collect any balance due, or check out any Master accounts that you are finished with so they can retire into history.
To find it, just click the Search Menu Item and select House or Master accounts - it will open the List maker with all current accounts. Select
and double click the one scheduled to check-in or out and either do that, or change the arrival/departure dates.
